New April 2022 sets revealed! New Adult sets? 90th Anniversary Celebration!

New April 2022 sets revealed! New Adult sets?

A new month means new LEGO sets, and what better way is there to enter this month of April than an onslaught of amazing sets with a few piece counts of over 1000? There isn't. In this article, I'll be going over some of these new sets and I'll share my thoughts on them. One thing before we begin: this month is already proving itself to be a pricey one for LEGO so I recommend waiting a while for discounts before getting these.

BACK TO THE FUTURE Time Machine

We'll begin with one of the hottest sets from this month's wave, the iconic Back to the Future DeLorean. This is honestly one of the best 18+ sets ever, and a great improvement from the cuusoo version a few years back. This set includes 1,872 pieces and two minifigures, who are Doc Brown and Marty McFly, from the Back to the Future movies.

This set comes at a so-so price in the US: $169.99. In the UK, it goes for about £149.99, and in Europe for around €169.99.

This set behaves quite like the ones from the ART theme, with you being able to pick between 3 different versions of the build. In this vehicle's case, you can select either the car from the first, second, or third BTTF film. These cars are all true to the movies and are quite an interesting release by LEGO.

The Goat Boat

This "goat boat" is an odd one indeed. It's from the new Thor movie Thor: Love and Thunder, and is basically a Viking longboat pulled by 2 goats, supposing the goats are crazy strong and can move a boat that size. Anyway, it's a cool-looking set and has 564 pieces, including 5 minifigures: Thor, Mighty Thor (?), Valkyrie, Korg and Gorr. This set is on sale starting April 26th so you'd better begin saving some money.

This set is for 8+ and costs about $49.99 US, £44.99, and €49.99.

Classic 90th Anniversary

To celebrate LEGO's 90th anniversary, this new Classic set will be released this month, and let me just say that this thing looks awesome. There is a new design on the box made to give it a vintage look. Also, the models that you can build are references to old themes, such as the classic Space theme, and the legendary Castle theme. For collectors who missed out on these sets, this Classic box is a dream come true. It's got all that you could ever want to build classic microbuilds possibly from events and polybags.

This starts at around £44.99 / €49.99, but the US price is unknown since the page hasn't gone up. The set also includes 1,100 pieces, which is cool.

Jurassic Park T-Rex Breakout

This great new 18+ set is a throwback to 1993 when the world first saw its share of dinosaurs, chases, and excitement. I am really looking forward to this since I loved the original Jurassic Park movie, and since it's a cool set just in general. This is actually a diorama set, so don't expect to play with it. There are minifigures, of course, but it will be as boring as waiting at the DMV playing with this thing.

Here it is below, in all its might and valor.

Nothing special, as you can see. I think that it would've looked better if they just used a regular T-Rex piece, but I'm assuming that this is the second addition to the Jurassic Park diorama series and that the "Gate" set was one of these.

This set has 1,212 pieces and is for 18+. The model is over half a yard long so this set won't have trouble standing out. I just hope that we get a regular set just like this soon...

According to LEGO's site, this is $99.99 US, or £89.99 in the UK. I don't know the price in Europe though, but I'll provide updates, because I really want to do a review on this. Expect it soon!

I'm really happy with the lineup here. We also get more Marvel sets, specifically Infinity Saga and Spider-Man. It's also good to note that Brick Sketches has been ressurrected and now we have 2 amazing new Marvel pictures. Even though the rest of the wave has been overshadowed by the abundance of Marvel sets (which I don't quite care for), there are still wonderful Classic, Adult, and Jurassic World: Dominion sets which I personally think were great themes to work on when it comes to selection. I think that I'll put out few Jurassic World reviews, and maybe some Speed Champions.

Let me know your thoughts on these sets. Which will you purchase? Also, if you have any ideas for reviews, just leave it down in the comment section. Anyway, this is the end of today's article. Remember to check next week for a special Monthly Brick (also resurrected).

We hope you liked this article. You can check back for some of our other reviews or articles.
