CITY sets are back, with more great builds and minifigs. One of these new sets is a mobile crane vehicle, called 60324 CITY Mobile Crane. It's a great addition to your MOC city, considering that a crane like this has never been made. Yes, there was a TECHNIC version, but how are you going to fit that into your city? I'm just talking about good old bricks. Let's get to the set now. It includes 1 crane, a road plate, and 2 minifigures. Not much to it considering how much you'll have to pay for this set, but still, exclusive parts abound in this one. None of the minifigs are named, but you'll find that they still make appearances in the TV show. All of the unnamed figs still get a part in the show, but that's not what we're here to discuss, is it?

The crane looks pretty good, if I may say so myself. It has an operating boom and a working winch system, which is great news for the buyers that want to play with this set and not just display it on a shelf. The front of the vehicle can accomodate 2 minifigures (which is another good point). The crane can rotate a full 360°, making for a smooth experience when moving this about. The boom can lengthen and retract using TECHNIC functions, and spinning a gear will operate the winch.
Here's another cool thing about the crane. When the winch is not in use, you can hook it up to a little extension with a hole in it, which just makes this thing cooler. You can also pull out these mechanical arms at the sides of the vehicle and plant them on the ground, supposedly to keep the vehicle in place.

This set is available now for a pretty high price for what it is (it's LEGO), and sadly, I am convinced that this set will be discontinued very quickly for a number of reasons. I think that this set is great for play, and it can act as a decent model to put on your shelf, which makes it very versatile. Overall, the design is great, the functions are great, and that impending rarity may be a good reason to get this set. It's simple, yet extremely attractive.

60404 CITY Burger Truck

       As I said last article, I would do an article on the new burger truck set from LEGO, so now here I am doing that. It was a bit more overpriced than I initially assumed, so I wasn't too pleased but I guess it's okay. Anyway, before we get to the price, I want to just introduce the set. It's directed towards those 5 years old and up and included 194 pieces. The sole build is obviously a burger truck, or rather a burger van  because of its humble size with a big detachable burger housing the chef. Technically, the vehicle is just a flatbed van that carries a big hollow replica of the products its owners are selling. Anyway, the set, in terms of characters, is standard for these food truck sets from CITY: 2.
